Additional services

Everything your booth needs to run, backed by Plaza Mayor’s operations team.

Our versatile facilities adapt to any type of event, from corporate meetings to large trade show productions. We provide the spaces, capacity and conditions you need so that every setup meets high standards, with the flexibility and support each exhibition requires.

Services for your booth

During the show, exhibitors can request the following technical services:

Connectivity

Dedicated internet, captive portal, phone line and internet for card terminals.

Utilities

Electricity, natural gas, water (utility sink), water supply and sewer for your operation.

Operations and logistics

Food and beverage, cleaning, security and sales channels throughout the event.

Important. Services requested after the show has started may not be installed right away, because in some cases they require an outage that would affect other exhibitors. We recommend getting everything ready before setup.

Extra services

Security, cleaning and logistics

Quoted according to the needs of each event. Cleaning includes a separate line for the cost of supplies.

Storage

Spacious storage rooms in the Conventions and Exhibitions venues for your merchandise, subject to space availability.

Foreign trade

Temporary Free Trade Zone

Temporary free trade zones are defined areas that host international trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses and seminars relevant to the country’s economy and trade. Goods from abroad that are directly related to the event can enter free of customs duties and VAT.

Plaza Mayor provides the Temporary Free Trade Zone service exclusively to its clients and exhibitors, to make it easier to bring international goods in and out for events, fairs, exhibitions and trade shows.

Benefits

  • No VAT or customs duties while the goods remain at Plaza Mayor.
  • Goods for use, consumption or free distribution inside the zone: samples with no commercial value, promotional material, booth elements, demonstration items, food and beverages.
  • Exhibition goods for sale or order taking, which are later nationalized or returned to their country of origin.
  • If equipment or products are sold, taxes are paid by the importer in Colombia, not by the foreign exhibitor.
  • Goods held in another free trade zone in Colombia can be transferred tax free, without nationalizing them.
  • No Colombian company is required: goods can be shipped in your own name with a pro forma invoice.
  • Foreign goods can stay until the zone ends and then be returned abroad or transferred to another free trade zone.

Exhibitors can bring promotional material from abroad tax free up to these amounts:

Length of the fairAuthorized amount
1 to 3 daysUSD 1,000
4 to 5 daysUSD 2,000
